Today is my B-day - Here's one I started last night and finished up this morning.   My wife came up with the caption which fits the expression perfectly I think!

  This is just me messing around with different ways of drawing Festus.  I'm kind of intrigued by the idea of making him more realistic - but honestly, that is not going to work in all situations and will certainly add time to the creation process.

Hi - this is part of my new red notebook Festus series - In this one you get a slightly different view of Festus than ever before.  It's a  little more detailed and up close kind of feel I think.  I spent more time on the face than I have in the past.  I think this is a decent representation of Festus though!  :)  Hope you enjoy it!

It's 2018 I can't See A Dern Thang!

 What can I say, I am liking this little notebook.  It's a new way of doing Festus - without the kindle fire tablet that I originally drew him on.  I realize it's crude but hey - It IS Festus right?!?!  I actually feel the need to explain this one. lol - thats not good.   So Festus has on this huge pair of 2018 New Years Glasses on - there are a couple of fireworks going off behind him, it's dark - his line...  I can't See Squat!!! - so yeah.  Now ya know it's not a hippo! :)  Thanks for checking it out folks! 

I'm Still Here

I've been thinking about Festus lately,

I just drew this one pager and I have the idea that maybe I will use this little notebook as Festus' new home for a while.  I will of course post any pictures here also.  But Festus is a simple guy ya know?  I think he appreciates living in simple ink and paper - it's more physical ya know?  :) :)  Anyway I hope you enjoy this drawing and I hope to do more soon.
